The EvoProbe with electronic transport measurement option allows for plug and play measurements of electronic transport properties under extreme conditions.

Take a puck into the future
Transport measurements are difficult to setup. A quick exchange puck mechanism helps you measure faster and optimizes your machine time. Prepare multiple measurements anywhere, anytime.

The puck carries an individually calibrated thermometer to ensure accurate temperature measurement.
Eight electrical connections via four individually twisted pairs offer flexibility for all configurations. Each channel can be used for voltage sensing or current delivery.
Integrated filter
High resistance measurements at low temperatures require low pass filtering of all lines. A custom cryogenic filter blocks interference from entering the low temperature area.
Quick setup
Configuration jumpers allow a user friendly configuration of Filter parameters.
Channel by Channel configuration
Each channel can be configured individually. This allows the simultaneous measurement of samples with vastly different resistance.
Thermometer
The filter also takes care of filtering the thermometer lines. No special hardware is needed outside of the cryostat.
Cryopump
An integrated cryopump can quickly generate high vacuum without relying on external hardware.
Example measurements
These experiments were performed with an EvoProbe in a 9T DynaCool and 14T PPMS
Quantum criticality in YbRh2Si2
With a TN of just 70mK and an easily suppressed antiferromagnetic transition this compound is a challenging sample to measure. The plate like crystals show low resistance at room temperature which quickly deminishes further at cryogenic temperatures.
For this experiment an external lock in amplifier was utilized.
Superconductivity in Hafnium
Superconductivity was observed in a 99.99% pure hafnium needle. The sample shows a sharp jump in resistance at Tc = 176mK. This observation could not have been made with a helium-3 system, as Tc is below that achievable by helium-3 refrigeration.
